Kramer Ausenco Vanuatu is proud to be part of a landmark project, supported by the Government of Vanuatu and ADB. This project has delivered a resilient, long-term, and safe drinking water solution to the Petros Primary School community in Tanna, one of the most remote, vulnerable, and infrastructure-challenged parts of the Pacific Islands.
Vanuatu’s Education and Training Minister Mr.Jean Piere Nirua, who led the commissioning ceremony on behalf of the Vanuatu Government, aired a word of appreciation to the remarkable pilot project of safe drinking water solution to the Tanna Schools.
“This technology fills a critical gap in providing safe drinking water to the Petros school community and we hope this pilot project may be extended beyond the education sector,” said Mr.Nirua.
This clean, safe drinking water is produced by SOURCE® Hydropanels, an innovative, sustainable technology that creates high-quality water off the grid and purely from sunlight and air. KA provided Source Global with foundation and slab designs for Island based contractors, as well as structural certification based on the National Building Code of Vanuatu.
This pilot project is being closely monitored to determine its potential for further adoption by the private sector for resorts, businesses, and households; public sector; as well as other countries in the Pacific.
