Kramer Ausenco are proud to be the first company sponsor to support the upcoming Women’s National League in Honiara, commencing 15th August 2020.
Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Women’s Football Development Officer, Antoinette Miniti comments;
“On behalf of SIFF and the National Women’s League Board I would like to express our gratitude to Kramer Ausenco for your kind contribution towards this year’s inaugural national women’s league, your support has been of great motivation to assist us in ensuring the competition is well-organised and run accordingly.”
Kramer Ausenco has been an active sponsor of local sport clubs as part of our community development. Women’s Football in particular plays an important role in contributing to gender equality and women empowerment in Solomon Islands and throughout the South Pacific. Women and girls in club teams are given opportunities to form friendships and grow strong support groups in their community and build the strength and skills to take part in soccer - a competitive sport that was previously seen as something only boys and men could do.
Football in Solomon Islands re-commenced in July following relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions. The football clubs were thrilled to see a keen interest from the girls and women with large numbers participating in the pre-season football competition.
Kramer Ausenco are looking forward to this season’s Women’s Premier League and wishes all the girls and women competing the best of luck!
