Kramer Ausenco Solomon Islands staff visited the children’s ward at the National Referral Hospital during the public holiday marking the country’s 41st Independence Day.
The visit on Monday, 8 July 2019, by fourteen staff members who handed out prepared gifts to children and parents, was the company’s first in the Solomon Islands.
“Kramer Ausenco, in the Solomon Islands and other countries we operate in, respects the communities and environments where we work and live. The visit to the children’s ward is an example of how we value our community,” said KA Solomon Islands Country Manager, Daniel Tucker.
“The visit during the Solomon Islands 41st Independence Day public holiday, as the Kramer Ausenco Group celebrates 40 years of operations this year, was also significant.”
The ward beds thirty-two children, and on this occasion twenty-eight children were admitted. Staff individually had the opportunity to meet two children and spent time in learning about each child, giving encouragement to the children’s parents and handing them their gifts.
The parents and nurses of the children ward’s thanked Kramer Ausenco for the visit which the staff intend to make an annual event which will see more wards and people benefit.
