Kramer Ausenco and the Ausenco foundation raised a total of $1,337.35 for Buk Bilong Pikinini (books for children) – an independent not-for-profit organisation based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, which aims to establish children's libraries and foster a love of reading and learning. In PNG there are few functioning libraries outside the school system and most children do not have access to books at all.
The money raised will be used to bring books to the children of Papua New Guinea via the creation of small Buk bilong Pikinini libraries in community based localities such as near settlements, clinics and market places.
On Monday the 1st of September Kramer Ausenco’s Ambassador Mal Meninga drew the prizes for the raffle draw.
1st prize – Mal’s signed jersey
2nd prize – $500 Coles/Myer gift card
3rd prize – children’s books and chocolate gift basket
4th prize – children’s books and chocolate gift basket
